About us

Ash Evangelical has been set up to discern God’s will for the village of Ash and test the desire for a new Church community. We want to determine what it might look like and who might be involved.

We intend to be:

  • Centred on Jesus Christ and the Trinity
  • Bible based
  • Aiming for lively worship
  • Seeking to encourage people of all ages to grow in faith
  • Intending to enable small groups to nurture learning
  • Reaching the community with the gospel and a caring attitude
  • Open to all

We want to gather believers who want to be involved together to discern God’s will and to shape the congregation.  At the meeting on 5th December it became clear that God was leading us away from our initial plan of gathering in the recently closed United Reformed Chapel.  From here on we intend to meet regularly in houses for prayer meetings and Bible study – and if God leads – to start church services later in the year.

At our initial prayer meetings we have felt God bless us and we will continue to meet fortnightly for the immediate future.  We welcome anyone who wants to join us to come and participate.  For the latest information please check our news pages or please get in contact with us.  If you wish us to keep you informed we can add you to our mailing list or follow our twitter feed.

If you want to get in touch please drop us an email to enquiries@ash-evangelical.org.uk, or through Twitter or Facebook.
